After the housings have been de-greased, they go into the shot cabinet to be stripped to bare metal. These pictures show a side housing before, and after shot blasting. Notice that all the rust and corrosion have been removed from the water jackets.
Once the blast process is completed, the housings are resurfaced, degreased once again, and then painted.
